For designers, artists, creators, makers, hobbyists, jewellers and anyone with creative desires.
Are you thinking of buying a 3D printer, wanting to learn how it all works or wondering whether it’s for you? This introductory class will give you solid hands on experience of the process, end to end. You will create and print out something to take away and end up understanding the whole process. You can ask as many questions as you like. We will explain all the issues that just don’t get mentioned by the 3D printer industry.
We have a lab full of equipment and working space. Everything in our space is accessed one way or another through computers (except for the coffee machine) more . . .
The 'School of Thingmakers' at Fabrivan is currently being developed. You will learn how to fully participate in the Maker revolution. We are creating workshops and master classes to take you to the next level of making, where the 'Things' you really want in your life will come into existence by your own hand more . . .
If you want to get hands on and learn to use a 3D printer, we've got a Leapfrog Creatr here along with input devices, software and other tools. We'll be running workshops to give you an idea of how 3D printing fits in with your world.
We also have bench space, hand tools, wifi, video projection and coffee. And there will always be someone there to support your work. So come and use it all, even if you don’t know where to start. That’s what we’re here for.
We are now travelling with our 3D printer and scanner to run classes and workshops in your own organisation. We can run anything from a two hour introductory class to a full weekend in depth workshop.
All our classes involve live printing and participants will quickly get to grips with the concepts and intricacies of 3D printing, software and inputs.
We can tailor the class or workshop to your own requirements. We can run them for your own staff or for your public. For example, you might want to introduce your staff to 3D printing and get them quickly up to speed on how it works, what the potential is and how you might use the technology. On the other hand, you might want to offer 3D print workshops for your visitors or customers.
